Side Quests · Small missions. Real progress.
Time: 15-20 minutes | Cost: $0 | You’ll need: a notes app, email, or spreadsheet, plus memory of recent customer questions
If you’ve been doing your side hustle for more than a few weeks, you’ve probably answered the same three or four questions over and over. “How long does this take?” “Do you ship to my area?” “Can I get a discount for multiple orders?” Every time you retype an answer from scratch, you lose time you could spend on new customers or actual work. A reply bank fixes that by turning your best answers into copy-paste-ready text.
Your mission: Write down your five most common customer questions along with a clear, reusable answer for each one, saved somewhere you can find fast.
Steps
- List your real questions. Think back over the last month of messages, emails, comments, or calls. Write down the five questions you’ve been asked more than once. If you’re just starting out, list the five questions you’d expect a stranger to ask before buying from you.
- Draft one solid answer per question. Keep each answer to two or three sentences. Be specific and warm, not stiff. Instead of “Turnaround varies,” try “Most orders are ready in 5-7 business days. Rush options may be available if you let me know your deadline.” Specific answers build more trust than vague ones.
- Add a name tag to each one. Give each answer a short label like “Timeline,” “Pricing,” “Shipping Area,” “Custom Requests,” and “Payment Methods.” This makes them easy to scan and grab later, whether you’re pasting into an email, a text, or a DM.
- Save them somewhere fast to reach. A single note titled “FAQ Replies” works well. If you use email, you can also save each answer as a draft or a canned response if your email platform supports it. The goal is finding the right answer in under 10 seconds, not hunting through old conversations.
- Test one today. If you have an unanswered question sitting in your inbox or messages right now, use one of your new saved answers to respond. Notice how much faster that felt compared to writing from scratch.
Quest complete when: you have five labeled, ready-to-use answers saved in one place, and you’ve used at least one of them to reply to a real customer question.
